Queen of Afrobeat, Tiwa Savage Says She’s Been Celibate For 3 Years
Nigerian Afrobeats singer Tiwa Savage has disclosed that she has been celibate for the past three years.
Speaking in a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, the award-winning singer explained that she has chosen celibacy because she has remained single since her last relationship ended three years ago.
“I have gone three years without sex. It is not something I really like or crazy about. I have to be in love to have the urge for sex. I have to be with someone for me to even think about it,” Savage said.
The singer also revealed that she has never used sex toys, joking that perhaps friends could consider them as a Christmas gift.
Savage’s revelation comes shortly after she opened up about enduring a toxic relationship with a Nigerian public figure. She described the experience as “disrespectful,” noting that her ex-partner took advantage of the secrecy of their relationship to cheat repeatedly. She eventually walked away after tolerating the infidelity for too long.
