BREAKING: Tension Between Victor Osimhen And Mauro Icardi?
Galatasaray insider Kaya Temel has dispelled reports suggesting a rift between Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen and Argentine striker Mauro Icardi.
Speculation had mounted in recent weeks after statistics showed that, despite featuring together in seven matches since Osimhen’s summer arrival, neither player has assisted the other in front of goal. The lack of direct link-up sparked rumours of underlying tension between the two stars.
Temel, however, insisted that such claims are unfounded. Speaking to habersarikirmizi, he maintained that both players enjoy a healthy relationship at the club.
“Again, there are those who like to create chaos where there isn’t any,” Temel said. “There’s nothing to suggest that Icardi was applauded or Osimhen was upset. My reliable sources in Kemerburgaz say there’s no problem between Osimhen and Icardi; they joke around before every training session anyway.”
Icardi has been with the Turkish giants since 2022, while Osimhen joined permanently this past summer. The Nigerian international has missed Galatasaray’s last three fixtures due to an ankle injury but is expected to play a central role upon his return.
Temel’s clarification aims to quell growing speculation and reinforce the club’s focus on unity as Galatasaray chase domestic and European success this season.
