N180M NGO Hack Claim: Blord Says Verydarkman Is A Thief; He Learnt It From His Mom—-Nigerian entrepreneur Linus Williams, known as Blord, has accused media personality Verydarkman (VDM) of theft amid allegations of N180 million missing from his NGO’s account.

Blord, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), alleged that VDM’s involvement in the case was not coincidental, claiming that he “learnt theft from his mother.”

This remark sparked outrage among social media users, with many accusing Blord of personal vendetta rather than basing his claims on facts.

The controversy began when VDM disclosed that hackers had infiltrated his NGO’s website, leading to unauthorized withdrawals.

According to him, authorities had apprehended a suspect in Jos, Plateau State, and investigations were ongoing to recover the stolen funds. To secure operations, VDM temporarily deactivated the NGO’s app and reassured donors of transparency.

Launched in October 2024, the NGO was created to address educational challenges in underserved Nigerian communities.

It garnered significant support, including a N100 million donation from music producer Don Jazzy, with total contributions surpassing N200 million.

Despite VDM’s explanations, public skepticism grew, with some questioning the likelihood of hacking and others hinting at mismanagement. This skepticism was amplified by Blord, who has had previous clashes with VDM on social media.

Social media reactions have been mixed. Some users defended VDM, urging critics to await the outcome of the investigation, while others questioned his accountability.

One user, @QUEENOFDBLUES1, wrote, “There is no evidence yet that VDM stole his own NGO’s money, so let’s wait for the investigation to be concluded.”

As investigations continue, the case has drawn attention to transparency in non-profit organizations, with many calling for stricter regulations to prevent similar incidents.
