BREAKING: Historic Moment As INEC Presents Certificate Of Return To Ondo Governor-Elect Aiyedatiwa And Deputy [PHOTO]—-The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday, November 20, presented certificates of return to Ondo State Governor-elect Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy at its headquarters in Abuja.
Aiyedatiwa emerged victorious in the November 16 governorship election, defeating 17 other candidates. The certificates were handed over by Prof. Kunle Ajayi, the INEC National Commissioner supervising Ondo State.
Speaking at the event, Aiyedatiwa described the ceremony as the culmination of a political journey that began with the release of the election timetable and party primaries. He expressed gratitude to the people of Ondo State for renewing his mandate, promising to deliver even better governance.
“The overwhelming votes across the 18 local government areas, where we won convincingly, place a renewed burden on me to serve you better,” he said.
Aiyedatiwa also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ensuring a level playing field for all political parties and praised INEC for conducting a free, fair, and transparent election.
The event was attended by APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, and members of the National Assembly from Ondo State, alongside other stakeholders.
