It was Rwanda’s first-ever away  victory over Nigeria.

The best chance of the first half fell to the Super Eagles with Fabrice Ntwari producing a superb save to deny Kelechi Iheanacho.

Chukwueze dribbled past three Rwandan players before slotting the ball past Ntwari.

Rwanda fought back with Jimmy Mutsinzi equalising from a header in the 72nd minute.

The Amavubi took the  lead for the first time in the game through Innocent Nshuti three minutes later.
