Tearful Moment Actor Charles Olumo, ‘Baba Agbako Was Buried [VIDEO]—-Nigerian film legend, Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, popularly known as Charles Olumo or Baba Agbako, was laid to rest on Thursday in his hometown of Abeokuta, Ogun State, after passing away at 101.

The Genius Media Nigeria gathered that Known for his iconic roles in the Yoruba film industry, Baba Agbako was buried in a white shroud at a ceremony held at his residence, attended by close family, friends, and prominent Nollywood actors.

Veteran actors Idowu Philips, widely known as Iya Rainbow, and Foluke Daramola were among those who paid their last respects.

Bolaji Amusan, the President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), confirmed the burial in an Instagram post, writing, “Finally laid to rest. May your soul rest in peace Pa Charles Olumo Sanyaolu Agbako.”

Baba Agbako, who began his acting journey in 1953, was celebrated for his dynamic roles and menacing on-screen presence in films such as Taxi Driver, Jagun, Aiye, and Jayesinmi.

His influence spanned over four decades, marking a significant chapter in Nigeria’s film industry. Before acting, he had worked as a mechanic and amateur boxer and often returned to film locations to inspire the younger generation, even in his later years.

Born on February 19, 1923, in Abeokuta, Baba Agbako leaves behind a legacy deeply embedded in Yoruba cinema and is fondly remembered by fans and colleagues alike.
