JUST IN: Former River State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi Called To Bar

JUST IN: Former River State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi Called To Bar—-Former minister of transportation Rotimi Amaechi has been called to the bar as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Amaechi was called to bar on Tuesday.

His friends and associates have been congratulating him on social media. Among them is Senator Babafemi Ojudu who wrote on Instagram that although he could not attend a reception organised by the former minister to celebrate the milestone, he wished him success in this new phase.

“Today, March 5th, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi will be called to the Nigerian Bar. I received an invitation from him to a reception to mark this accomplishment, but unfortunately, other assignments have taken me out of Abuja,” he wrote.

“Let me therefore seize this medium to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the former governor of Rivers State and former Minister of Transport. Mr. Amaechi’s achievement is a testament to the fact that determination knows no age limit, and anyone can attain educational milestones at any stage of life.

“I admire his commitment to continuous learning and his dedication to expanding his knowledge and expertise. His accomplishment serves as an inspiration to all, proving that with perseverance and dedication, one can achieve new academic heights at any point in life.”

Amaechi graduated with a second class upper division degree in law from Baze University, Abuja in November 2022.

The ex-minister was among 504 students who graduated from the school in various fields of study.

He was admitted to the bachelor of law degree programme while serving as a minister in former President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet.
