BREAKING: Chelsea To Sell Armando Broja On One Condition—–According to report, Chelsea are reportedly ‘willing’ to allow Armando Broja to leave on a ‘permanent basis’ provided they receive ‘suitable offers’ for the striker.

This was made known by Popular football correspondent, David Ornstein

It comes as Mail Sport reported last week that the 22-year-old is the subject of interest from both Wolves and Fulham.

According to Ornstein, the club are willing to ‘let the striker leave on a pernament basis’, with his departure reportedly ‘not contingent on Chelsea signing a replacement’.

Christopher Nkunku, meanwhile, is expected to return from injury soon, who is reportedly set to return to training this week.

Broja, meanwhile, has struggled to break into Mauricio Pochettino’s starting eleven this season.

Speaking about the possible transfer, he wrote:

The Albania international, who has 17 caps for his national side, has also made 17 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions this season, scoring just two goals.

In the Premier League, he has started just six games, with Broja scoring against Fulham back in October last season, after coming back from an anterior cruciate ligament tear that had kept him sildelined for just under a year.

More recently, he started in Chelsea’s FA Cup victory against Preston, and after a goalless first-half, the Albanian provided the difference to break the deadlock and spur his side on to victory, scoring a well-taken header in the 58th minute.

Broja had scored nine goals in 38 appearances across all competitions while on loan at Southampton during the 2021-22 season, but has struggled to impress on his return.

Broja celebrated wildly after scoring against Preston, with Pochettino stating after the game: ‘It was really important for him.’

‘I need to be honest, he needs to use this type of game to score and to feel the net and to improve. Improve not only in his fitness, but his body language also. He needs to step up and to go forward and to move. He needs to be more positive.

‘The potential is amazing. We’re talking about one of the young strikers in England and in Europe with the most potential. But the problem now is he needs to push himself, and we’re going to try to help him to realise that never it is enough.

‘He was nearly one year away (injured) and of course now he needs time. It’s not easy for him to perform and to be at the level we expect. Our expectation is massive and we really believe in him. We’re going to push him to improve every day.

‘I said to him, ‘Smile’. Always we joke about how he needs to smile, to laugh, to put inside himself more good energy and be more happy, a happy boy.’

With Nicolas Jackson away on international duty with Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations, Broja could get another chance to prove to stake a claim in Chelsea’s starting XI in their EFL Cup return leg against Middlesbrough on January 23.
