BREAKING: Nigerian Army Speaks On DSS Recruitment 2023/2024 Viral Application

BREAKING: Nigerian Army Speaks On DSS Recruitment 2023/2024 Viral Application—-The Nigerian Army has distanced itself from viral publications online, claiming the force has commenced the recruitment of interested applicants into the 2023 Direct Short Service (DSS).

In an official statement signed and released on its X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, the Nigerian Army said it had been informed of the alarming rate of fake online recruitment information, particularly regarding the Nigerian Army Direct Short Service (DSS) Recruitment Portal for the year 2023.

It described the said publications as a deliberate fraudulent effort by some unscrupulous persons to mislead the public.

The statement reads, “Considering the damage these fake online publications could do to the psyche of would-be candidates and the general public, it is crucial to clarify that the fake online Direct Short Service Portal 2023 is a scam and should be clearly avoided.

The NA has already set measures in motion to apprehend those behind the fraudulent portal. Accordingly, members of the public are enjoined to report any suspicious recruitment portal or activities to the NA.

The NA will continue to remain committed to ensuring a transparent and credible recruitment process through the NA’s established official channels of communication. These channels include the official Nigerian Army website and social media platforms https://army.mil.ng, X (Twitter): @HQNigerianArmy, Facebook: HQ Nigerian Army https://facebook.com/NigerianArmy?mibextid=LQQJ4d, Instagram: HQNigerianArmy, https://instagram.com/HQNigerianArmy/ and other reputable media outlets. It is important to rely on these official sources for accurate and up-to-date information rather than fall victim of fake recruitment online advertisements.”

The statement signed by the Brigadier General Director of Army Public Relations, Bonyema Nwachuku, said it is of utmost importance for potential candidates to seriously consider this refutation and advisory, as fake recruitment advertisements are bound to deceive them and subject them to the unpredictable actions of fraudulent scammers.
