BREAKING: Sacked #Chelsea Boss, Graham Potter Turn Down #Leicester Job—According to reports, GRAHAM POTTER has decided to take a break until the end of the season and has already turned down an approach from Leicester City.
Potter, 47, was brutally sacked by Chelsea on Sunday after just 31 games in charge, just hours after the Foxes had axed Brendan Rodgers after dropping into the bottom three.
Leicester were keen to know whether Potter was keen on a swift return to the dugout to help them beat the drop.
However, the former Brighton boss is expected to take some time out after a bruising spell at Stamford Bridge in order to recover before assessing his options in the summer.
Potter, 47, had revealed the mental toll anonymous abuse had taken during his time at Chelsea, with trolls emailing the manager saying they wanted him and his family to die.
Time away with family is now planned before a potential return to management next season.
A host of jobs could be available to the ex-Swansea City manager come the summer.
With Tottenham in no rush to make a quick appointment following Antonio Conte’s exit, Potter is expected to be in the running for the job in north London this summer having been considered for the post before.
Meanwhile, there will be openings at Crystal Palace, while the Leicester job could come up again in the summer should the Foxes opt for a short-term appointment after sacking Rodgers.
Rafa Benitez is among the favourites to take over in the East Midlands until the end of the season with the objective to keep Leicester up.
Leicester will have long-term coaches Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell in the King Power dugout when Aston Villa arrive tomorrow night.
The Foxes then face relegation rivals Bournemouth, Wolves and Leeds later in April.
The majority of Potter’s coaching staff have been kept on by Chelsea, with assistant Billy Reid the only other member of staff to be dismissed by Todd Boehly over the weekend.
Bruno Saltor will oversee the Blues’ home clash with Liverpool on Tuesday.
