BREAKING: LeBron James And Anthony Davis OUT Of Lakers Vs Brooklyn Nets Game—According to reports, The Los Angeles Lakers have announced that LeBron James and Anthony Davis will both be out for Monday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.

Davis is listed as out with a ‘right foot stress injury’ and his absence is likely part of the recovery from the injury he just returned from, while James is listed as out with ‘left ankle soreness’ from the problem that has bothered him all season.

The pair’s rest is likely due to the Lakers playing in back-to-back games on Monday and Tuesday, as they are set to face the New York Knicks only 24 hours after facing the Nets at the Barclays Center.

Guard Austin Reaves was also ruled out with a left hamstring strain.

James is on pace to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record as the all-time points leader in NBA history in the coming days, however that has now been pushed back.

Counting the absence against Brooklyn, James is now on pace to break the record against the Oklahoma City Thunder in LA on February 7th.

There are no indications that James or Davis will miss time beyond Monday’s game in Brooklyn.

The Lakers’ most recent game ended in a 125-121 loss against the Boston Celtics, and saw James and several teammates complain about a missed foul call on a pivotal play in crunch time.

James was visibly annoyed when he gave an interview postgame, he said: ‘You saw my reaction. It’s challenging. I don’t get it. I don’t understand.

‘It’s been building, you’ve seen some of the games we’ve lost this year, late game missed calls. We had the opportunity to literally win the game.

‘Second one in the last few weeks for myself, against Dallas I had an opportunity to win the game if the foul was called. I don’t understand what we’re doing.

‘I watch basketball every single day. I watch these games every single day. I don’t see it happening to anybody else. It’s weird.’

To make matters worse, referee Eric Lewis admitted the foul was missed after the Celtics sealed victory in overtime.

Lewis told Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe: ‘There was contact. At the time, during the game, we did not see a foul. The crew missed the play.’
