BREAKING: FBN Insurance Appoints Tunde Mimiko As Ojumah Retires—-Nigeria’s leading life insurer, FBNInsurance Ltd. has announced the appointment of Mr. Tunde Mimiko as its new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, following the retirement of Mr. Val Ojumah.
Tunde Mimiko is a seasoned Insurance professional with over 23 years’ experience in life and general insurance, spanning sales and marketing, business development, strategy, vision & mission planning, technical operations, product development & management.
Tunde is a transformational leader who has actively participated in the transition projects of the various companies where he served, including the transition of Union Assurance to Ensure Insurance Plc (now Allianz Nigeria), where he served as Managing Director/CEO between 2015-2017, WAPIC Insurance Plc (now Coronation Insurance Plc), and ARM Life Plc.
Tunde Mimiko an astute professional, is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (FIIN), Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), Insurance Institute of Canada. He is also an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School and holds a MBA in Financial Management, from Lagos State University.
Prior to joining FBNInsurance, Tunde was an Executive Director (Operations) at FBN General Insurance.

Tunde succeeds Val Ojumah who has been MD since the inception of the business and grown the FBN Insurance brand to become one of the most successful and celebrated businesses in Nigeria.
Val steps down as MD and will remain with the business until April 2023 in an advisory role to support a smooth transition.
