GLO Ranked “Most Useless Network In Nigeria” As Data Service Shutdown Again on the eve of #EidelKabir2020 Celebration.

Nigerian subscribers have lambasted Nigeria’s top telecommunications company, Globacom Limited, popularly called Glo and founded by businessman Mike Adenuga, hitting it hard with intense criticism over its persistent poor voice and data network services performance, TheConscience Nigeria reports.

Customers in tweets monitored by this online newspaper lamented over what they termed outrageous and unstable network on the eve of 2020 Eid-el-Kabir and described GLO as ‘the most useless service provider on earth.”

GLO Ranked “Most Useless Network In Nigeria” As Data Service Shutdown AgainAccording to some angry customers, it is awful that the network provider would hype unrealistic promotion of data on cable networks instead of improving voice service to its teeming consumers.

Below are tweets monitored:

@geedayola206 @GloWorld @GloCare you people need to do better with your network. I can’t be begging for hotspot from someone who’s using @MTNNG just to check mail. Person never see job and Una no allow me check mail or send CV. Please kindly do better abeg.

@philipsdouglass @GloCare for almost two days I haven’t been able to purchase any data plan, so frustrating

@olorunosebi @GloCare I am unable to load data or buy using *777#, I am getting an error message “SORRY! An error has occurred. Please try again later.” I have tried over and over without success, and I have a virtual meeting/training session to facilitate tonight. Please kindly assist.

I have tried again, it didn’t work. I rebooted the phone and tried again, it didn’t work. See attached screenshot. The timestamp in the image is 8:04am.

Glo was founded on 29 August 2003 by Nigerian businessman Mike Adenuga, employing over 3,500 people worldwide. It has over 45 million subscribers (December 2018), making it the second largest network operator in Nigeria.

In 2011, GLO became the first telecommunication company to build an $800 million high-capacity fibre-optic cable known as Glo-1, a submarine cable from the United Kingdom to Nigeria.

Despite its infrastructure investment claims, subscribers appear persistently dissatisfied with its persistent poor services.
