BREAKING: Emirates Airline Denies Allegations Of Suspension Of Flights From Nigeria

BREAKING: Emirates Airline Denies Allegations Of Suspension Of Flights From Nigeria—-As against the purported news spreading in the media space, Emirates Airline has denied allegations of suspension of flights between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Nigeria.

This was made known via the official statement issued by Emirates spokesperson and privy to The Genius Media.

BREAKING: Emirates Airline Denies Allegations Of Suspension Of Flights From Nigeria

However, Emirates strongly denies all allegations!!!

READ THE FULL STATEMENT BELOW:

“Emirates denies allegations of suspension of flights from Nigeria. The UAE government continues to advance its dialogue with the Nigerian authorities, and the latest discussions signal great optimism for a positive way forward. We regularly update our website to keep our customers informed, and although our operations are still on hold, Emirates is keen to restart services to and from Nigeria, and are working closely with designated laboratories in Nigeria to provide the required tests and hope to be able to get all laboratories ready for implementation very soon. We are committed to Nigeria, and look forward to providing much needed connectivity for our customers, helping to meet growing air travel demand in and out of our two Nigerian gateways and making air travel more accessible to and through Dubai to over 120 destinations across our global network.” – Emirates spokesperson

Recall, In February, Emirates had suspended flights into Nigeria after the Nigerian government debarred the airline for conducting rapid Covid-19 tests before departure for travellers flying inbound UAE at the Lagos and Abuja airports.

The ban was briefly lifted after the airline agreed to discontinue the rapid antigen tests for Nigerian travellers.

But Emirates continued to administer the drug, leading to a diplomatic row between the two countries.

“Customers who have been to or connected through Nigeria in the last 14 days will not be permitted on any Emirates flights bound for Dubai,” Emirates said.

“Affected flight bookings have been cancelled.

“If your flight has been cancelled or impacted by route suspensions due to COVID‑19 restrictions, you don’t need to call us immediately for rebooking.

“You can simply hold on to your Emirates ticket and when flights resume, get in touch with your booking office or us to make new travel plans.”
