BREAKING: Chelsea Defeat Man City In FA Cup, End Guardiola’s Quadruple Dreams – #CHEMCI

BREAKING: Chelsea Defeat Man City In FA Cup, End Guardiola’s Quadruple Dreams – #CHEMCI—–The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Pep Guardiola and Manchester City’s hopes of a quadruple ended on Saturday as his side crashed out of the FA Cup at the semi-final stage, falling to Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.

This reliable platform gathered that Tuchel’s side edged a 1-0 win at Wembley thanks to Hakim Ziyech’s second-half strike, which made the relatively new boss the first German coach to ever make it to the FA Cup final.

Chelsea impressed from the off and kept the ball away from City, who oddly spent much of the opening exchanges trying to retrieve possession. That territorial dominance almost translated into a 1-0 lead, but for Timo Werner having wandered into an offside position before teeing up Ziyech.

It was that combination that gave Tuchel’s Blues the lead though. A swift one-man counterattack on the left was completed by Werner when he reached the edge of the City box before setting up Ziyech to tap into an open goal.

Guardiola’s side did get back into things and had the better of the possession and most of the statistics by the end but, in truth, Chelsea were more than good value for their win.

Christian Pulisic thought he has sealed it with a second in stoppage time, only for Chelsea’s celebrations to again be cut short by the offside flag.
