The player was believed to have lost consciousness as frenzied calls were made for oxygen from the sidelines.
He was immediately rushed to the hospital after the incident.
Osimhen, who cost the club €70m including add-ons and bonuses, has only managed 10 Serie A games for the Naples club due to injury, suspension and coronavirus-related problems.
The 21-year-old was only making his seventh league start for the club, after returning from a shoulder injury.
