The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Mathias Ekweremadu who is the younger brother to a Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu slumped at the Enugu State House of Assembly from where he was rushed to the Niger Foundation Hospital.

However, the commissioner was confirmed dead in the hospital.
