#EndSARS: Many Prisoners Were Killed During Ikoyi Prison Attempted Jailbreak, Fisayo Soyombo Alleges—A week after the attempted jailbreak at the Ikoyi prison, an allegation has been made by Nigerian journalist, Fisayo Soyombo claiming many inmates lost their lives in the process.
The Genius Media recalls that the Ministry of Interior on Twitter, said that prison was under attack by hoodlums, but it was been brought under control making no mention of any life being lost.
The attempted jailbreak came as a result of a fallout of the #EndSARS protest, leading to fire and gunshots been fired.
Taking to his twitter, Fisayo alleged that many inmates were killed in the attempted jailbreak at the Lagos prison. He also told Nigerians to check up on their loved ones who are being held at the prison.
He tweeted:
Just confirming that many inmates were killed in last week’s attempted jailbreak at Ikoyi Prison, even though it escaped the notice of mainstream media. If you have loved ones at Ikoyi Prison, you’d do well to physically check on them to confirm if they’re dead or alive.
