Alleged Access Bank Hacker Ihebuzo Chris Arrested By EFCC [PHOTO]—The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has finally arrested and revealed the face of the hacker who claimed to have hacked into Access Bank database.
On Friday, the EFCC arrested a self-acclaimed hacker whose name is identified as Ihebuzo Chris for alleged cyber stalking.
The Genius Media Nigeria report that Chris, a suspected serial cyber criminal, was arrested recently in Benin City, Edo State, following a petition received by the Commission from a new generation bank.
The petitioner alleged that the suspect had, in an online video, claimed to be in possession of some personal information and Biometric Verification Numbers of over 1000 customers of the bank, which he claimed to have obtained after hacking into its data base from his personal laptop computer.
Items recovered from chris ihebuzor, at the point of arrest, include the laptop computer, which he used to upload the said viral video, a printout of over 2000 bank details, including the BVN of customers of the bank, 12 blank ATM cards suspected to be for perpetration of his alleged criminal activity.
Investigations are ongoing to unravel other culprits involved in the suspected crime.
He would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
In the video which went viral, Ihebuzo Chris demonstrated that the firewall built around AccessBank network are vulnerable.
The hacker who calls himself a python on Twitter gained access and extracted the data of over 2,000 customers.
He showed the print out of the customer accounts, including their BVN, account numbers and other details.
In the video, he told the bank to reach out to him for a deal.

Few hours after the video went viral, Access Bank reacted to the claims by the hacker. The bank said the claims was false and should be disregarded.
“Criminals have posted pages purporting to contain customer account information. We’ve alerted law enforcement agencies and ask that you ignore the post. There is no threat to your account balances.” Access Bank said
