President Donald Trump’s notes from Thursday’s coronavirus briefing show that the word “Corona” was crossed out from coronavirus and it was replaced with the word “Chinese.”
The picture was captured by Washington Post Photographer Jabin Botsford and it comes after the US President received backlash for referring to the deadly virus as the “Chinese Virus”.
Members of the public chided Trump and stated that the term “Chinese virus” is both inaccurate and considered stigmatizing. However, he doesn’t seem to care as it appears he has stepped up his efforts to scapegoat China for the spread of the coronavirus.
Also, in a video from the briefing, Trump is seen insisting on calling it the Chinese virus even after a journalist tackled him for it and said it’s racist.
