Nigerian social media influencer, Pamilerin Adegoke has shattered the internet with his views on the late Dagrin’s legendary status.
According to him, Dagrin wasn’t a legend before his untimely death years ago. He explained that the rapper was merely a cool rapper that was well respected in Nigeria and was a rapper that Nigerians could brag about. Pamilerin feels that DaGrin is overhyped and should not be referred to as a legend.
He wrote: Who started the Dagrin and Olamide comparison again. Shey ori yin o pe ni.. Any small thing, Dagrin is a legend. Oya Dagrin IS NOT A LEGEND. Since you don’t want to have sense. If not for Dagrin’s death, Olamide won’t blow.. sorry oo, minister of death affairs. Oponu. Dagrin paved way for Olamide yenyenyen… look for something else to say please .. Dagrin wasn’t a legend before he died (Rip). He was just a cool rapper that was really respected in Nigeria. He was a rapper the country could boast of because he was doing rap quite alright, but he did it at his own best which made him won the heart of many.
I know we attach emotions to every thing. But after his demise, I think he’s being over hyped. Some said if he was alive, Olamide won’t have blown (really? ). Olamide would blow & might even be bigger than him. This is music and anything can happen.Take Psquare for example , after the split we were expecting Mr P to flop but he’s topping. So you don’t decide. Olamide blew up when we have other big rappers. Now people like Blaqbonez are also making waves where we still have other big rappers.
