Social media giants, Facebook has shut down its London offices until Monday after an employee was diagnosed with Coronavirus.

The employee of Facebook visited the London office from Singapore and has been diagnosed with Coronavirus. The unnamed employee is based in Singapore but visited Facebook’s London offices between February 24-26, 2020.

With the shut down of the offices, other employees have been told to work from home through the weekend and also advised anyone who came into contact with the affected employee to self-isolate and monitor themselves for any symptoms of the novel coronavirus.

“An employee based in our Singapore office who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 visited our London offices February 24-26, 2020,” Facebook said in a statement.

“We are therefore closing our London offices until Monday for deep cleaning and employees are working from home until then.”
