The immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has emerged as the deputy national chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress(APC).
He emerged at a congress held at the party national secretariat on Wednesday in Abuja.

Ajimobi will replace Otunba Niyi Adebayo who was the immediate past deputy national chairman South who has now been appointed as Minister for Trade and Investment by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Meanwhile, TGM understands there were opposition to Ajimobi’s emergence by some top Southwest politicians and elders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
