The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Hope Uzodinma has just received the Certificate of Return from the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) as the governor-elect of Imo State.
He was awarded the certificate on Wednesday not long after the Independent National Electoral Commission announced that the commission was waiting to be served the enrolled order of the Supreme Court judgement which sacked Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State.
The issuance of the Certificate of Return was done barely 24 hours after the Supreme Court ordered for the immediate swearing in of Uzodinma.
Meanwhile, thousands of Imolites have already gathered at the Heroes Square in the state capital, Owerri, ahead of the swearing in of the governor-elect.
