A wedding is said to be one of the most memorable days of a person’s life and this traditional wedding day will be very memorable for the bride, groom, and all their shocked and horrified guests, for the wrong reasons though.
It has been reported that a Man called Emeka slapped his wife to be named Chisom in Adazi area of Anambra.
The reason for the slap can’t be ascertained for now, but there was a violent closure to the ceremony.
According to reports, after the incident, Emeka walked out of the ceremony without saying a word to anyone.
Both families are reportedly not happy about the issue and are looking to get to the root of the problem.
The traditional marriage is known as “Igba Nkwu” in Igbo land. In the eastern part of Nigeria, marriage is not seen only as the union between the intending couple but also an affair between the parents, extended families and the members of the society.
