A Ghananian resident of Virginia has been found guilty of a $3 million scam by a US court after ripping off people looking for love online and has been convicted.

Born in Ghana and a naturalized American citizen, the man identified as Henry Asomani reportedly served as the middleman in the fraudulent scheme in which his accomplices persuaded users of social media and dating sites to provide money for gold mines, school and travel.
