Recounting how the father of five who is separated from his wife started defiling her, the rape victim said Agwu first made an offer of one hundred naira and promised to buy her a cell-phone if she became his friend.

The girl at first rejected the driver’s advances but succumbed after he drove her in his bus, dragged her into a bush, tore her cloths and raped her. The victim who lives with her grand father and step mother said she went home bleeding.

However after being threatened with being sent out of their home by her step-mother on grounds of not being able to pay for her ante-natal and post-natal care,  a Non-Governmental Organization, Virgin Heart Foundation and Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Imo State Chapter through its vice Chairman, Dorothy Nnaji have pledged to provide psycho-social support, medical assistance and legal support.
