A 12-year-old girl identified as Illobekeme Omije who was allegedly and reportedly raped by her 40-year-old neighbour in Edo state has given birth to a new baby.
The 12-year-old girl who gave birth to a baby girl through CS operation on Friday, October 11th at the Irrua Specialist Hospital.
According to reports, activist Gwamnishu revealed that the girl is an orphan, lost her dad years ago and after her mother’s death, she was sent to live with a pastor of a renowned church.
“At age 6, she was raped by the pastor and was later sent to live with a traditional healer who continued to rape her.
Findings revealed that the girl is presently staying at her aunt lodge where a 40-year-old neighbour raped and got her pregnant. She welcomed her baby and is still in the hospital where doctors are monitoring her condition.
Activist Harrison also disclosed that the pastor, the herbalist and the 40 year old man were all arrested in September by officials of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons but released after they all agreed to pay N5000 monthly.
