“As the two leaders met, they congratulated each other on the successful completion of the Ramadan Fast and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
“Both leaders spoke and urged all Muslims to continue with the good teachings and spirit of the fasting period of the month of Ramadan.
“Emir Sanusi seized the opportunity to congratulate Governor Ganduje on his second term in office. He also wished the governor a successful tenure in office.”
“For a healthier relationship between the two institutions of government and Kano Emirate Council, the dialogues will continue.”

Some few days before the meeting in Abuja, the Kano State government had given the Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II 48 hours to give satisfactory explanations on allegations of financial impropriety, Tribune Online reports.

According to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Usman Alhaji, who, on behalf of the government issued the query on Thursday, said Emir Sanusi’s answer to the spurious allegations will allow the government to “take appropriate decision” on the matter.

The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission had on Tuesday, said it uncovered over N3.4 billion allegedly misappropriated by the Emirate Council.
