Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 23 election, Atiku Abubakar, has congratulated Ademola Adeleke on his victory at the Osun governorship election petition tribunal.
The tribunal sitting in Abuja on Friday declared Adeleke as winner of the September 2018 election in the state, dismissing Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a tweet on Friday, Atiku wrote: “Truly, the judiciary is the last hope of the common man and the defender of our democracy. Congratulations Sen. Ademola Adeleke, @IsiakaAdeleke1.”

The party’s vice presidential candidate, Peter Obi, also congratulated Adeleke in a separate tweet on Friday.
He wrote: “Congratulations Senator Ademola Adeleke @IsiakaAdeleke1. Power to the People!”
