#SAD!!! APC House of Assembly Candidate Dies In Plateau After Winning Election

The House of Assembly candidate of the All progressives Congress (APC), Honourable Ezekiel Afon has died.

According to Voice of Nigeria (VON), Hon. Afon died few hours after winning the seat for the Pengana Constituency into the Plateau State House of Assembly.

He was said to be ill before the election and died on a day that should have been one for celebrating his win.

APC state secretary, Bashir Musa Sati confirmed his death to Voice of Nigeria’s correspondent Gloria Thomas.

In line with Electoral guideline, the Independent Electoral Commission would have to organise a supplementary election to fill the now vacant seat.
