A video has emerged online, showing how President Muhammadu Buhari reacted to being declared the winner of the 2019 Presidential election in Nigeria.
Early in the morning, President Buhari who contested the election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party was declared the winner of the election earlier today.
Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), made the declaration at the International Conference Center (ICC), Abuja, Nigeria’s capital at 4:39 am on Wednesday, February 27.
According to the results announced by INEC, Buhari scored 15,191,847 to defeat Atiku Abubakar, his main rival, who polled 11,262,978.
Moments after the President was declared the winner of the election, Bashir Ahmad, Buhari’s personal assistant on new media, posted a video showing how the President reacted to the victory.
In a video posted by on the micro-blogging site, Twitter by Ahmad, President Buhari could be seen seating calmly while the INEC chairman announced him the winner.
