They were expected to cast their votes in their various wards – Buhari in Daura, Katsina; and Atiku in Yola, Adamawa; however, the postponement of elections by one week now ensures that the two candidates return to the nation’s capital.

Buhari, in a statement on Saturday, said he would be in Abuja to meet up with a meeting called by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at 2 pm with stakeholders.

Atiku told reporters in Adamawa that he was headed for Abuja for crucial talks. He, however, did not specify if he would be part of the meeting with the electoral commission.
