SUBOMI: “Nigerian Men Marry Because They Owe Women Not Love”

Nigerian author and strategist, Subomi has said that most Nigerian men don’t marry out of love, but because they owe women.

Subomi made this known on her Twitter page, where she listed some reasons Nigerian men get married. See what she wrote below;

Too many Nigerian men marrying women because they owe them (the’ve been together a long time, have had abortions for them, have had kids, have given their virginity etc.), not because they love them.

Too many Nigerian men marrying women because their mamas like them, not because they love them.

Too many Nigerian men marrying women because of social pressure and the fear/drama of confrontation, not because they love them.

Afterwards, they start “checking out” and calling exes, because they are not “happy”.

My friend, will you face your fears and be a man, o jare. Marriage is not a fait accompli. You are not a tree, you can move. Last last, everyone will be alright. 🙄🙄

Another one. Too many Nigerian men marrying other women because the one they really like scares them. They cannot “control” them.
