“Uganda has also qualified for the tournament, after beating Cape Verde 1-0 at the Nelson Mandela Stadium, Kampala.”

The Super Eagles were held to a 0-0 draw by Uganda, in an international friendly match played on Tuesday, at the Stephen Keshi International Stadium in Asaba, Delta State.

Head coach Gernot Rohr fielded a strong side, with Alex Iwobi, Ahmed Musa and Oghenekaro Etebo all starting against the Cranes.

However, they failed to find the net, in what was generally a scrappy match.

It was the first game Rohr’s men were playing, after they booked their place in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, following a 1-1 draw with South Africa on Saturday.

Uganda has also qualified for the tournament, after beating Cape Verde 1-0 at the Nelson Mandela Stadium, Kampala.

The Cranes defeated the Super Eagles 1-0 the last time both teams met in a friendly match on March 25, 2015.
