The ambassador’s remarks came during his visit to the school of Special Forces of the Lebanese army to congratulate the last soldier in the batch of the 10,000 members that were trained by the school.

“I am proud to give a training certificate to the last soldier trained by this school, which reflects our commitment to the training of one-third of the combat force in the Lebanese army,’’ he said.

Rampling noted that UK’s investment in the support of the Lebanese army had reached 63 million British pounds (82 million dollars) since 2010.
