Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has more or less confirmed his defection from the All Progressives Congress by personally submitting his election forms obtained from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He submitted the forms on Thursday.
There had been speculations on if Dogara had defected from the APC, even after the nomination and expression of interest forms were obtained from the PDP secretariat on his behalf.
The lawmaker had insinuated his intention to defect when his kinsmen visited him in Abuja to express their support.
However, Dogara apparently cleared all doubts by submitting the forms by himself at the PDP national secretariat.
