The commissioners for Women Affairs, Agriculture, lands, commerce are among those who are leaving. Others are the Special Advisers on rural development, and health.

The Genius Media reported on the 14th of September, 2018 that Akeredolu ordered his cabinet members to resign their appointment with the State Government if they are interested in contesting for elective offices in forthcoming 2019 General Elections.
