“U.S. Senator @SenJohnMcCain was a study in principle and bipartisanship; loved by friends and foes alike, never afraid to break ranks for the good of his country. His was an inspiration & lived an extraordinary life of service to his country & humanity. He will be sorely missed.” – @Atiku
Some Nigerians on Monday challenged presidential aspirant Atiku Abubakar to travel to the United States to attend the funeral of late Republican U.S. Senator, John Sidney McCain III, who died on Saturday at the age of 81, after battling brain cancer.
They challenged Atiku after posting a tribute message to mourn the death of the senator on his twitter page.
He said: “U.S. Senator @SenJohnMcCain was a study in principle and bipartisanship; loved by friends and foes alike, never afraid to break ranks for the good of his country. His was an inspiration & lived an extraordinary life of service to his country & humanity. He will be sorely missed.”
