“You don’t need to be disrespectful to have a fantastic movie. You can be a rich club and buy the best players in the world but you cannot buy class and they showed that clearly, that was really obvious.”

City released an eight-part series showing their title-winning journey from last season but the Red Devils boss was not impressed
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says Manchester City’s recently released documentary shows that you ‘can not buy class’.

Cameras focus on the intimate moments between City players and staff while offering a behind-the-scenes footage of life as a professional athlete.

The documentary series, titled All or Nothing: Manchester City, was released on Friday and was met with glowing reviews by those looking to get a glimpse into the reality of being a Premier League footballer.

United manager Mourinho was not impressed with the end result, however, aiming a scathing attack on the Old Trafford club’s cross-city rivals after suggestions within the show that he is a defensive coach compared to Guardiola.

“You can have a fantastic movie while respecting others,” Mourinho told Sky Sports.

“You don’t need to be disrespectful to have a fantastic movie. You can be a rich club and buy the best players in the world but you cannot buy class and they showed that clearly, that was really obvious.”

City claimed the Premier League crown with a total of 100 points, culminating in a dramatic 1-0 victory at Southampton in which Gabriel Jesus scored the winner deep into added time.

Guardiola’s team were widely regarded as one of the finest sides to ever play in the English top-flight, 12 months after the Catalan coach played out his first and only trophyless season as a professional manager.

And while United were City’s closest rivals for the title last time out, Mourinho’s men finished some 19 points behind the Etihad outfit.
City should face significantly more pressure this season, however, with Liverpool adding a number of new faces to the squad that reached the 17-18 Champions League final.

Jurgen Klopp has acquired Alisson Becker from Roma in a world-record deal, with Naby Keita, Fabinho, and Xherdan Shaqiri also arriving at Anfield.

Chelsea will also be looking for a stronger finish than last season under new manager Maurizio Sarri, while Unai Emery plans his own title charge with Arsenal in north London after taking over from Arsene Wenge
