Thousands sign petition to ban Pastor Funke Adejumo from entering UK

Thousands of Nigerians have expressed displeasure at co-founder of Agape Christian Ministries, Pastor Funke Felix-Adejumo, by signing a petition to ban her from entering the United Kingdom.

Felix-Adejumo has been heavily criticised especially on social media for telling her congregation to sow $1,000 and other amounts as seed to receive God’s blessing

People have now taken matters into their hands by signing a petition asking authorities in the United Kingdom not to allow the preacher into the country.

The petition was launched by one Mayowa Olaiya who accuses Nigerian pastors of regularly visiting the UK to defraud people and flee without paying tax.

“They ask people to sow seeds for miracles and breakthrough and flee from the country with the funds without paying tax. They go from churches to churches; this is a religious cabal network,” she alleges.

As at the time of writing this report, 2,622 people have signed the petition.

The petition has the blessing of Cool FM presenter, Daddy Freeze, who recently uploaded a video to Instagram where the preacher is seen asking 20 people to sow a seed of $1000.

“I want 20 people to sow a seed of $1,000 dollars each,” she says before promising “another level of clean money and surprise wealth.”

This request did not sit well with the well-known religious commentator who stated that seeds are given to the poor and those in need, not churches and pastors.

Popular LGBT rights activist, Bisi Alimi, in a recent Twitter post also stated that the Nigerian god is a fraud and it is using preachers to rob Nigerians of their money.

“Nigerian god is a fraud and it is using Oyedepo, Adeboye, Adejumo, and other criminals who robe themselves as ministers of god, to rob vulnerable Nigerians of their hard earned money, this has to stop,” he wrote.
