As Nigeria searches for leaders that will take her out of poverty, misery and socio-economic underdevelopment, Influence To Inspire Leadership Empowerment Initiative (IILEI), an organization that is committed to raising effective leaders and influencers, is planning to organize a leadership conference in Lagos.
Renowned speaker and New York Time bestselling author, John Maxwell, will be a key speaker at this year’s Influence to Inspire Conference which holds on 19 and 20 July at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
John C. Maxwell, the #1New York Times bestselling author, coach and speaker who had sold more than 26million books, confirmed attendance in a video.
Speaking at a press conference to announce the event, Jane Ivhurie, the founder of the organization, said that the objective of the conference is to raise leaders who will bring the change that Nigerians have been seeking over the years.
She added that the organization wants to organize and host a highly impactful attendee Leadership Conference in Africa annually while collaborating with some of the world’s renowned business leaders.
For this year’s conference, she said that the organization is bringing in world-renowned leadership and management expert, John C. Maxwell, to teach and lecture corporate executives, non-governmental organizations, government officials, entrepreneurs, and individuals.
Ivhurie, who is also the co-founder of a technology consulting company, Techno VAS Consult Service Ltd, said that the theme of this year’s conference is “Sustainable Leadership and Growth for a Thriving Economy.”
She stated that other sub-themes are building lasting legacies, influence-based leadership, creating a thriving culture, being the change you want to see around you and unlocking your leadership potential and change in uncertain times.
She listed self-improvement, networking, team building and personal growth as some of the benefits that will accrue to attendees.
The founder of the organization said that there would be think-tank/mastermind VIP dinner on July 19 with John C Maxwell as keynote speaker and that the main conference/workshop will take place on July 20.
