“Pre season with Tianjin TEDA. Hard work for the new season and an exciting year ahead,” Mikel posted on Instagram. Mikel helped Tianjin Teda escape relegation with 13 league appearances in his debut season.

Later in this year, Mikel who doubles as the Super Eagles skipper will be aiming to lead the three-time African Cup of Nations champions to glory when the World Cup begin in Russia in June.
